Range report - sorry no pics

Just got back from a quickie range session with Rem 11-87, 21" smoothbore barrel with IC Remchoke, rifle sights, 2 shot mag extension from Scattergun Technologies. Federal Premium LE 12 gauge 2 3/4", muzzle vel 1325, 9 pellets 00 buck. I scanned a box top on another PC and will post it later.

Full mag every time, flawless performance, Very easily controllable recoil, t-shirt only, recoil not even distracting, no anticipation of shot. Multiple targets; target, trigger, bang, target, trigger, bang, target, trigger, bang...

I am extremely pleased with the whole thing. About 80 rounds fired. Shooting at distance of 25 and 50 yards, some while moving.

I'll be doing this again and again. Quite enjoyable.

Good report, SWR! A semi auto shotgun is definitely in my future. What were the reasons why you went with the Remington? There are more choices today in autoloading shotguns than there used to be, right now I'm leaning towards the Saiga, but I've looked at the Rem 11-87 tactical.

Existing weapon, modded for different purpose.

00 Buck is pretty good at 9 pellets in a typical 2.75" payload.

Better yet is 0 = 12 pellets

Or, even #1 = 16

Or, #4 Buckshot = 27 pellets...

More pellets and still a lot of holes of reasonable diameter.
